Kate’s Kart is dedicated to bringing comfort, hope, and the joy of reading to every child who enters the hospital.

Our signature book Karts are thoughtfully placed in Emergency Rooms, where nurses and staff can immediately offer a free book to children during what is often a stressful and uncertain time.

Beyond the ER, our reach extends to Pediatric floors, Pediatric Intensive Care Units (PICUs), and Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs), where trained volunteers personally deliver books to young patients and their families. These meaningful interactions help create moments of calm, connection, and normalcy during hospital stays.

As we continue to grow, Kate’s Kart is expanding into clinics, surgical areas, and additional hospitals across northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio. Each new location allows us to reach more children, ensuring that every child—regardless of where they receive care—has access to the comfort and empowerment that a book can provide.
