This year’s Fort4Fitness Fall Festival is September 29-30, 2017.
Participants can choose from:
- 4 Mile Walk/Run
- 10K Walk/Run
- Half Marathon
There are also events just for Kids and Seniors.
Step 1: Register
Choose your event and register online. Select Kate’s Kart from the dropdown labeled “Enter a Charity Partner code” on the registration form. This is the simplest way you can help, as a portion of your registration fees will be contributed to Kate’s Kart.
Step 2: Consider Pledging Additional Funds
A race can be a challenging event, especially if you’ve never done one before. Many people give themselves extra motivation by having their family or friends pledge to contribute money if they complete the race. Some choose to ask for a certain amount of money for every mile they plan on running. Others just ask for a flat contribution if they finish the race. If you decide to pursue this option, technology makes it easy! This article on Cool Running explains how you can use a third party service to set up your own fundraising page and collect additional donations from family and friends. This step is optional, of course, but can be a great way to make a larger impact.
Step 3: Run or Ride and Have Fun!
The most important step: complete the race! We look forward to seeing, and congratulating, everyone that participates on our behalf!
