Soft Cloth Books - These are books generally made of cloth that can be crinkled, twisted or chewed, and are especially popular with the babies.  We never have enough of these types of books, as they are often very expensive to purchase.  We greatly appreciate any donation in this category.

Board Books - Board books are stiff and have thick cardboard pages, and are typically geared toward infants and toddlers.  Again, our stock of books in this category is usually low, so any donation is appreciated.  Some examples include:

Picture/Character Books - This is the most popular type of book.  Our greatest needs in this category include those with famous characters, including:

• Books by Eric Carle

• Any book about cars, trains, planes, animals, princesses and fairies

Read Aloud Books - This category includes books that parents might read to their children, specifically the younger kids and babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.  Many times, parents can't hold their child, so it is soothing for a child to hear a parent read one of these classics:

• "Runaway Bunny" by  Margaret Wise Brown

• "Love You Forever" by Robert N. Munsch and Sheila McGraw

Young Adult - Most kids want a "fun" read while they are hospitalized.  Popular books in this category include:

• Anything currently/recently playing in a movie theater (Twilight, New Moon, High School Musical, etc.)

• Jokes/tricks

Girls:

• Teen romance

• Mysteries

• Hannah Montana

Activity - These books can often keep the kids entertained with things to do, including:
